The Department of Immigration says Permit to Reside renewals require a formal renewal application and a BSD $200.00 non-refundable processing fee.
The Department's online portal FAQ also says permit renewals can be processed online when the applicant qualifies to use the portal.

Online Renewal Notes
The online portal FAQ says applicants who qualify for online renewal should expect to:
- complete the application form online
- upload an acceptable digital photo
- upload supporting documents as PDF files
- pay the processing fee by credit card
- pay the document fees later if the application is approved
The same FAQ says a previous Permit to Reside application without an employer may still be renewed online if the renewal will also be without an employer.
When To Escalate To A Human
- You are changing the basic basis of stay rather than simply renewing.
- You cannot supply the medical, police, passport, or school documents required.
- Your prior status was a first-instance case or otherwise falls outside normal online renewal.
- The portal says your application cannot be processed online.
