Who This Applies To

Supporting Documents

- Passport, if necessary
- National Insurance Card, if necessary
- For non-Bahamians: passport, Permit to Reside or other Immigration-issued status document, or other proof of residency, plus a copy of the driver's licence
Renewal Process
- Complete client registration with a Customer Service Representative if you have not already done so.
- Be prepared to take a new photo with the Customer Service Representative if the RTD renewal process requires it.
- Tell the representative whether you are renewing for one year or three years.
- Sign when asked.
- Pay the cashier and collect the licence or return with the receipt, depending on the office turn-around time.

Deadline
The RTD says a driver's licence must be renewed at the end of the licence holder's birth month after one or three years, depending on the renewal period selected.
